I shall shortly be disseminating the November tropical
cyclone summary, and it will be sent in Rich Text (HTML)
format from MS Outlook Express. A few years back,
when my mailing software was changed to this, and the
first few summaries were in Rich Text format, one reader
informed me that as he received it, it was full of HTML
code and difficult to read. So I changed to Plain Text
format.
However, now with the inclusion of long links to John
Diebolt's track graphics, plus other items, I've been
informed that the embedded links are not working since
the lines are wrapped around, and the second line of
the link name is not "clickable". I sent a recent summary
to several dozen people in Rich Text format as a test case,
and no one seemed to have any problems reading the
text, and the hot links all were working.
This is the reason I am making this change. If anyone
has problems, please notify me and I can send the summary
to them as a text file attachment.
Sincerely,
Gary
